When did your love for handbags begin?
It started when I was 21 and living in Paris for a year. Every morning on my walk to work, I’d pass a little vintage store that had a red Dior saddle in the window. I’d stop and stare at it like it was a piece of art. After months of saving (and skipping more than a few coffees), I finally went in and bought it. I still have her - and she still makes my heart skip a beat.
What’s your current favourite bag in your collection?
At the moment, it’s my Chanel 19 in Caramel. She’s been everywhere with me this summer - from weddings to weekend markets. The colour goes with everything, and she somehow makes even my most casual outfits feel pulled together.
If you could add one more dream bag to your collection, what would it be?
A Hermès Kelly 25 in Vert Amande with gold hardware. I saw one in person once and I swear time stood still.
What’s your absolute favourite Havre de Luxe product?
Without a doubt, the Water & Stain Guard. I used it on my Chanel 19 the day I got her, and two weeks later someone spilt prosecco down the side - it wiped straight off without a mark. Now I won’t even take a bag out before giving it the Havre treatment.
Any handbag care tip you swear by?
Always, always store your bags stuffed with tissue or soft fabric to keep their shape. And keep them out of direct sunlight - fading is a heartbreak you can’t fix.
