Sunday self-care (with a touch of luxe)
Between lockdowns, tier dramas, pre-Christmas deadlines, Christmas shopping, wrapping, the prospect of having to spend the festive period with your in-laws (and don’t get us started on the end of term parties / fancy dress/teacher presents/ donations / ‘I need £1’ every day this month) we’re all feeling a little frazzled. It’s time for some serious Sunday self-care (with a touch of luxe). Here are our essentials for the ultimate pamper night.
Have soak…
Surely it’s only right to start a pamper night with a nice, relaxing soak. Pick out your favourite soaps or bath bombs and let the un-winding commence. Light your favourite scented candle and play some calming music for an extra relaxing ambiance. For an extra touch of luxe why not add a glass of fizz? After all, they don’t call it a bubble bath for nothing…
Skincare saviors
Winter can be so harsh on our skin. Not only do we have to contend with the effects of the cold weather and central heating, but now we’ve got the added bonus of all the complications our complexions face as a result of wearing face masks.
If like us, you’re a sucker for skincare products, chances are you have a bathroom cabinet full of facewash, creams, and serums you’ve tried once and moved on to the next.
Good skin comes from maintaining a regular regime and staying consistent with the products you use. Take time over the next few weeks to test any products you haven’t tried yet and really nail a combination that works for you. At the moment, we’re loving Facetheory, a UK brand who specialise in ‘Clean Skincare’ our skin has never been better and their products are super affordable too!
Sheet dreams
In our opinion, sheet masks are the ultimate pamper night essential!
Say goodbye to messy, skin-stretching peel-off creams. These quick and easy sheets work to transform your complexion instantaneously. Just set on your face for 15 minutes while you relax, and you’ll be left with softer and smoother skin.
Get (non) party season ready hair
So while this Christmas we’re all going to be staying in in, that doesn’t mean we can’t get glam. Treat your hair to some pre-festivities TLC to get it it’s looking it’s best for those Christmas day insta photos. Invest in a good hair mask to get your hair back to it’s best. We love Olaplex for princess-worthy locks.
The festive glow up
Let’s face it, life is better with a tan. And while those travel corridors are making it look like we won’t be going anywhere hot and sunny any time soon, you can still get the bronzed look at home. Tinted oils and moisturisers ensure a natural finish whereas foams and mousse will provide instantly darker results.
